Hello and Welcome to no pajama mama!
From the moment you learn you are pregnant, a mother is born. The rest of your existence instantaneously becomes centered around an unconditional love for a little person. And, as a result, about putting someone else before yourself. We watch our body shape shift and fight to get it back. We feed and pump at hours that leave us with dark circles. We fix our schedules around our children’s social lives before our own. All in the name of absolute devotion for our child, and we wouldn’t do it any differently if given the chance to do it again.
But an important responsibility of motherhood is acting as an example, and striving to live our life how we hope they live theirs in the years to come- happy. How to be happy is a loaded question if there ever was one, and happiness means different things to different people. But however you get there, part of the path is being able to love yourself.
no pajama mama’s mission is to help moms with one avenue of how we find self-love… the mirror. Big or small, short or tall, loving how we look is powerfully uplifting for our self-esteem. As it goes, in motherhood, so often the means to get there elude us. Getting the children ready to go comes first, makeup is hurriedly done in the car (if at all), and splurges are exclusive to kid’s activities. This has been the way of moms since the dawn of time, and I’m not going to sit here and pretend that I have figured out the solve. But what I can bring to you is guidance on how to make it a little easier to be the chic fashionista you are at heart, mom style.
There is always a time in life for a showstopping runway-worthy look. But in a Mom’s day to day, functional, practical, and affordable rule our style decisions. These aren’t words that typically evoke visions of beauty, but there is a bridge there and no pajama mama is here to help you close the gap.
