hi no pajama mamas!
Hi ladies! My name is Bith McWilliams and I’m the mom behind no pajama mama. I am a born and raised I love New Yorker who Viva’ed in Miami and settled in Chicago. I am wife to Lucas and Mom to Henry (4), George (2), and Hugh (April arrival)!
My first love is fashion. Growing up I sketched endless dresses, I skipped off to college to study fashion merchandising, and went on to have a career with fashion institutions I could have only dreamed to be part of one day. I met iconic designers, sported a runway worthy wardrobe (enabled entirely by employee discounts and samples, but hey!), and brimmed with passion for my vocation.
10 little fingers and 10 little toes changed everything. After years of building towards my surely inevitable empire in the fashion industry, I made the decision that the best move for our family was to be at home. Hello culture shock!
Motherhood has been the definitive rewarding job. Still, stepping away from my career sent me on a self-identity crisis tumble. Here I was, someone who sold and believed in the power of confidence through self presentation, struggling to find time to shower during the zero hours my babies slept. Decadent designer dresses collected dust in the attic, and heels were tucked so far back in the closet I forgot I owned them. I could deal with sticky fingers and needing acrobat-level mobility- but dressing for it? Now that wasn’t working for me.
I started no pajama mama for moms like myself who have a passion for head-turning fashions, but are struggling to let their style shine with their new all-important role of mom. While we might have to be a little craftier, it is entirely possible to be a mom and still look ravishing! no pajama mama is designed to help moms stay true to their desire to look chic through all the body changes and life demands during all stages of motherhood!
